Dennis Ray Bell of Harmony, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 25, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Bell was born in Iredell County on August 23, 1948 and was the son of the late Francis Marion Bell, Sr. and Mary Lou Tucker Bell. He was a graduate of Cool Spring High School and he attended Campbell University.

Mr. Bell was a member of The Cove Church in Statesville. He was a man that loved the outdoors and worked as a farmer.

He also loved fishing, growing vegetables, and was an avid bridge player and a member of the Statesville Duplicate Bridge Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Annette Bell and a sister, Joan Bell Holland.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Scott Bell (Amy) of Statesville and Wesley Bell (Beth) of Sherrill’s Ford along with four grandchildren, Preston and Faith Bell, both of Statesville and Addison and Katelyn Bell, both of Sherrill’s Ford. He is also survived by two brothers, F. Marion Bell, Jr (Brenda) and Terry Bell, both of Statesville.

A celebration of life service honoring Dennis Bell will be conducted at 6:30 PM Thursday, February 28 at the Cove Church in Statesville. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the celebration of life service. There will be a private scattering ceremony at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
