He was born in Mechanic Falls, a son of Lawrence D. and Edith Nay Raymond. He graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1950, shortly after he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force until 1954. After discharge he moved to California, where he lived for 52 years.
He is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Coggins and Ruth Synder, both of South Portland; five nephews; and a niece.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Lt. L.D. Raymond Jr.
