Joyce Ann Patton, 77, of Malden, passed away at Bowers Hospice House, Cranberry, after a long illness. She was born December 8, 1939 to the late Harrison and Bessie Kirk. Joyce is also preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Harvey Ray; her sisters, Reese Horrocks and Emma Bowles; and brothers, Jim, Jack and Frank Kirk. Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She loved being a caregiver to the elderly. She had various jobs over the years and loved socializing with new people. Joyce never met a stranger. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta and husband, Jerry Gray of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Brandon Gray of Malden and Jodie Gray of Oak Hill; great-grandchild, Mason Bailey; sisters, Jean Morris of Kanawha City and Betty Tucker of Malden; and brother, Gary Kirk of Kanawha City. A graveside service will be held 2:30p.m., Friday, November 10, 2017, with spiritual friend, Dottie Collins, officiating at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Glasgow. The burial will follow the service at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens.
