Tammy Ellen Bailey Tammy Ellen Bailey, 50, of Isom Branch, near Bull Creek, WV, passed away in the early hours of November 15, 2012, surrounded by her family, at the home of her sister Rita Blankenship, following a long battle with diabetes,. Tammy was born May 30, 1962 in Iaeger WV, a daughter of the late Georgia England Bailey and Ray Lowe. She grew up and attended school in Iaeger; she loved to crochet, can vegetables and work word search puzzles. Tammy worked for the Kentucky Derby Hosiery while living in North Carolina and was also a member of the Mohawk Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her mother Georgia England Bailey, she was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Jane and Mariam Joan Lowe; grandparents, Elmer "Dolph" England, and Rosten and Mattie Lowe; one aunt Helen Faye England; and her in-laws, Craig and Judy Bailey. Survivors include her husband of 34 years Kermit R. Bailey of the home; two sisters Rita and husband David Blankenship of Iaeger, WV, and Rosa Jones (Murphy) of Cana VA; her father Ray and stepmother Sina Lowe of Mt. Airy NC; two nephews and a niece who were like her grandchildren Sage and Shay Bailey of Isom Branch, and Leigh Ann King of Cana VA. Tammy is also survived by her extended family, six nephews, Steven, Ryan, Patrick, and Matthew Blankenship, Jaxon King, and Billy Jones; four nieces, Leigh Ann and Kandence King, and Madison and Kayla Blankenship; step brothers and sisters; Carol Taylor, Misti Young, and Roger and Stevie Bailey; and brother and sister-in-laws; Denita Bailey, Wanda Connor, Linda Dotson, Kathy Zimmer and George Bailey. Tammy had many special people in her life the last two months; she grew to love each and every one of them. They include Donna Blankenship, Amy West, and Toyna Jackson, and the many caregivers from Hospice Compassus of Welch WV. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at noon, with Reverends Willie Coleman, Delbert Hurley, and Hassel Riffe officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in, Iaeger WV. Burial will follow in Bailey Cemetery at Isom Branch, on the right hand fork of Bull Creek near Mohawk, WV.
