Beverly Graves Corbett, 94, peacefully passed away at her home in Spanish Fork, Utah on February 15, 2019. She was born on December 24, 1924 to Fred and Nellie Graves in Payson, Utah. Beverly grew up in Payson and lived there until she married her sweetheart Bryce Corbett in 1945, they then made their permanent home in Spanish Fork.

Beverly held many jobs over the course of her long life some of which were strawberry picker, house cleaner, laundry washer, hospital aid, seamstress and most importantly, wife and mother. Beverly was a very special lady that loved life. She never had a complaint or bad word against anyone and if you met her you instantly loved her. She was true friend to so many and would give you the shirt off of her back without hesitation. Her pleasant personality and eagerness to lend a hand to anyone in need is a very special quality that is hard to find. Beverly had a soul like no other and will surely be missed by many, if only the world had more “Beverly’s” it would be a much better place.

Beverly enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, canning, embroidery, crocheting, quilting and especially making clothes and doing alterations for others. She took a lot of pride in her many talents and was always willing to teach anyone that wanted to learn.

Beverly is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings over the years. She especially loved teaching the little children and her years she spent working in the ward library. Throughout her years of service in the church, she and Bryce were able to be temple workers as well as provide many a meal to families in need.

Beverly married Bryce Corbett on February 9, 1945 while he was in the Navy. Shortly after his return they started their family and were blessed with four children who absolutely adored her. She is survived by all of them, Gary (Mary) Corbett of Ivins, Utah; Linda (Rex) Bryan of Houston, Texas; Nancy (Dan) Maples of Goshen, Utah; Kendall Corbett of Spanish Fork, Utah. Beverly had 15 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 20.5 great-great grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; husband, Bryce Corbett; son-in-law, Dan Maples; grandson Cody James Corbett; granddaughters, Shantell Maples and Kristy Chapman; great grandsons, Cody Donald Corbett and Jonathan Chapman.

The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Maple Creek Home Health and Hospice for their many years of aide to Beverly, especially two of her sweet caregivers, Heather and Andrea.

Services will be Saturday, February 23 in the Spanish Fork 2nd Ward Chapel, 541 W. Center Street, at 1:30 p.m. A visitation will be held before the service from 12:15-1:15 p.m. Beverly will be laid to rest in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
