Annie Bernice Allen Eoff, 82, passed away peacefully in her Lake Whitney home on June 3, 2007, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Meridian First Baptist Church with burial following at Meridian Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.

A lifelong resident of Bosque County, Bea was born in the Steiner Community to the late Matt and Jennie Rasmusson Allen. She attended Meridian school and married Alvin Lee Eoff on June 16, 1941. Together for 55 years until he preceded her in death, they were the loving parents of three children, Sharon, Gina, and Louis, and faithful Christian servants, pastoring several Baptist churches in Bosque County.

Known affectionately as Bea to her grandchildren and many in the community, she maintained an enthusiasm and zeal for life, always enjoying a good laugh. Her family and friends remember her as a caring soul who looked after numerous family members and friends in their times of need. Members of her church, River of Life in Smith Bend, remember her as a prayer warrior, always praying for others in their times of conflict and rejoicing with them when their prayers were answered.

A homemaker throughout most of her life, she also found time to devote 10 years to the Meridian Hospital as a Practical Nurse, provide loving childcare to many children in Bosque County, and helped her husband as he managed the Byrom Ranch near Lake Whitney for more than 15 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Eoff; son, Pastor Louis Eoff; sisters, Doris Lowery, Ray Cole, Velma Potts, and Frances Gann; and brothers, Harold Allen, Leonard Allen, and Gerald Allen.

Her survivors include her daughters, Sharon Greenwade and husband, James, of Temple, Gina Stokes, of Waco; grandchildren, Kathryn Greenwade, of Bryan; Karen Schiller and husband, Kevin, of Valrico, Fla.; Chris Eoff and wife, Amanda, Brian Eoff, Josh Eoff, and Bobby Nichols, all of Lake Whitney; great-grandchildren Sarah, Samuel, and Jacob Schiller, all of Valrico, Fla. and Kayla Eoff, of Lake Whitney; brothers, James Elliott and wife, Opal, of Chilton, Eugene Allen and wife, Jenna, of Meridian; sister-in-law, Margie Allen, of Meridian; niece, Betty Johnson and husband, Marc, of Cranfills Gap; and numerous other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
