Jerry Carson Lankford, 71, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Lawrenceville, Georgia following an extended illness.
He was born in Athens, TN but was a life-long resident of Ten Mile, a place he always called home. He was an over-the-road truck driver who loved to travel and have fun.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Lankford; and a brother, Bobby Lankford.
Survivors include a son, Kaleb Lankford of Kannapolis, NC; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Stephen Gilstrap of Cartersville, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Diane Lankford of Lilburn, GA; a sister-in-law, Nellie Lankford of Snellville, GA; and three grandchildren, Audrey, Harper and Carson.
The family will receive friends at Bowers Funeral Home from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019. Funeral services be at 1 pm with Jim Ed Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Baldwin Ragland Cemetery in Ten Mile.
