Heflin - Ruth Elizabeth Gentry, 71, died Monday, February 25, 2019, at Grandview Medical Center, in Birmingham.
Ruth was a native of West Virginia and a resident of Cleburne County for the past 36 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Gentry Sr.
Our Mom was the most amazing woman. She loved her family and she was always there for us, no matter how far she had to travel to get to us. She was our best friend, and our all-around go-to person. We couldn't have asked for a better person to be our Mom and Nana. We are the lucky ones to have had her.
Survivors include three daughters, Michele Winkler, Christina Hinkle, and Tammy Harbison; two sons, Carlos Gentry, Jr., and David Gentry; six grandchildren, Ashley Bush, Amanda Farley, Courtney Gentry, Andrew Farley, Taylor Gentry, and Emma Winkler; and two great grandchildren, Chansler Hammett and Charlotte Gentry - Sweitzer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Dryden Funeral Home.
