Rose Wilson Jenkins, 85, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019. She was the wife of the late William W. Jenkins and the daughter of the late Albert Johnson Wilson and Ethel Louise Horton Wilson.
Rose grew up in Russell County, Virginia. She moved to Burlington in the early 50’s, where she was a nurse at Alamance County Hospital. She retired from Alamance Regional Medical Center and afterwards becoming a Pink Lady at the hospital. Rose also was a volunteer at the Kernodle Senior Citizen Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen H. Morris-Weidner of Elon, Rose H. Miller of Burlington and Anita H. Grant and husband Wayne of Glenn Allen, Virginia; sister, Kitty Wilson Absher; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents Rose is preceded in death by her sisters, Della Wilson, Dorothy Wilson, Gladys W. Peters, Vivian W. Santini and Virginia W. Pritchard; brothers, James Wilson and Perry Q. Wilson
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
