Cheryl Harris, 75, of Marshalltown died on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at UnityPoint Health in Marshalltown. Memorial services at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown.
Cheryl was born on February 1, 1944, the daughter of Chalmer H. and Voda Mae (Metz) Smith in Marshalltown. She graduated from Marshalltown High School, Class of 1965. Cheryl married Martin Harris on September 3, 1966, in Marshalltown. She was a homemaker.
Cheryl was employed for a short period of time at the Iowa Veterans Home in housekeeping. She also volunteered at the Veterans Home. Cheryl enjoyed many crafts and cross stitching.
Surviving are her husband Martin; a son, Randy (Chris Vorhies) Harris of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two daughters Susan Harris of Marshalltown, and Teresa (Roy) Williams of LeGrand, Iowa; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Bette (Garry) Choate of Marshalltown, Gayle (Larry) Fricke of Clemons, and Lorrine Collins of Buffalo, Montana.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Williams, and two brothers, Dennis and Gary Smith.
