MRS BALDWIN DIES; EX-MILFORD TEACHER
Millford – Services will take place Monday for Mrs Amy Phoenix Baldwin of 57 Regent Terrace, Devon, a retired teacher in the Bridgeport and Milford school systems, and wife of Burton J Baldwin, who died Thursday in Milford Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 10am in St Andrew's Episcopal Church by the Rev Donald H Peete, rector.
Burial will be in King's Highway Cemetery.
The Gregory F Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Devon, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Baldwin was born in Bridgeport and was a resident of Milford 38 years. She was a graduate of the Danbury Normal School and New Haven Teachers College, and had taught in the Waltersville school, Bridgeport; the Devon Grammar School, Walnut Beach School, and finally in the Kay Avenue School for 17 years. She was a member of the Milford Senior Citizens.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Burton J Baldwin, Jr of Lancaster, Calif, James Baldwin of Fishkill, NY and four grandchildren.
