Ronald Wesley Stephenson, 82, of Roanoke, Virginia went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2017 in Orlando, Florida. Ronald Wesley Stephenson was born in Roanoke, Virginia to John Wesley Stephenson and Mary Virginia Mills Stephenson on May 28th, 1935. He attended Florida Southern University where he achieved undergraduate degrees in Engineering and Religion, and Luther Rice Seminary where he earned Master's degrees in Divinity and Counseling, as well as a Doctorate of Divinity. Amid his 20 years of service in the United States Air Force, Ronald served in the Vietnam War. He married Dorris Virginia Hedge Stephenson on February 28, 1957 in Hernando, Mississippi, fathered 4 daughters (Angela Sivils, Cynthia Fairing, Katrina Bellamy, and Ronda Kerley), and is known as "Uda" to his 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Ronald Wesley Stephenson lived out his days faithfully loving his wife and (grand)children for 60 years, serving his Heavenly Father for 65 years, and pastoring his flock for 41 years. Ronald was a simple man who lived a legendary life. Ronald Wesley Stephenson is preceded in death by John Wesley Stephenson, Mary Virginia Stephenson Mills, and Angela Sivils.
