He retired from the Town of Pearisburg in 1973 as a Superintendant. He was a member of the Pearisburg United Methodist Church. He was born in Narrows, Virginia on July 30, 1907 and was a son of the late Marvin Lee Robertson and Laura Smith Robertson.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Chloe Robertson of Pearisburg; daughter, Joyce Jackson of Salem; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Darlene and Bob Highsmith of Roanoke; sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold and Dianna Robertson of Salem, John and Barbara Robertson of Hardy; two sisters, Almetta Lucas of Pembroke and Rosavell Walters of Pearisburg; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Friday, October 15, 1993, in the Givens Funeral Chapel, Pearisburg, with the Rev. Warren Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Sherwood Cemetery, Salem, Va. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home, Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
