Joan M. Ford (Miller) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died on February 22, 2019, at the age of 85. She died peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family. She worked for Modern Blueprint Co., State Street Bank, Egan’s Religious Gifts and was a full-time homemaker for many years. Joanie was a friendly, fun-loving woman who enjoyed cooking for family and friends, sewing, and dancing at every opportunity. Joanie had a way of making those around her feel happy and completely at home.

Joan was the beloved daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Miller (Fennessey) of Dorchester. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Ford; loving mother of Diane Dopp (Ford) and her husband, Christopher Dopp; and beloved grandmother of Samantha Dopp, all of Quincy. She was predeceased by her brothers, Vincent Miller of New Hampshire; Robert Miller of New Hampshire; Frederick Miller of Brockton; Lawrence Miller of Dorchester, and Joseph Miller of Dorchester; and her sister, Patricia McLellan of Quincy. She is survived by her sister, Alice Driscoll of Natick, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial for Joanie on Saturday, March 2nd at Casper Funeral Services, 187 Dorchester Street, Boston. Visitation from 12:00-2:30pm; eulogy and remembrances of Joanie from 2:30-3:00pm. Internment will be private.
