Sarah Hayes, 78, died February 23, 2019. Mrs. Hayes was born October 8, 1940 to Hilliard and Stella Junkin Whaley in Magnolia, AR and reared in Bussey, AR. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at First Presbyterian Church in Camden. Mrs. Hayes was a graduate of Taylor High School and later received an Associate Degree from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, AR. She retired after working for International Paper Company for forty years as an executive secretary. She enjoyed cooking and making quilts. She especially enjoyed taking those things she made and sharing them with others. Sarah and Ronnie were married for 56 years and enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing and most of all, just being together.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie “Rabbit” Hayes of Camden, AR; two daughters, Alicia Campbell and her husband, Chris of New Lenox, IL and Rhonda Mathis and her husband, Ken of Texarkana, TX and four grandchildren, Austin Mathis, Aaron Mathis, Connor Campbell and Hunter Campbell.
