Mike Byrne came to America in 1890 with 3 other of his brothers;Jack and William were 2 of them. They came to Pennsylvanian and stayed with relative James Byrne. They came because of the "potato famine". There were many in the family and few jobs or food. They were hard working and young. Mike married Sara Dunne also from Ireland.Sara had come years earlier. Mike was a blacksmith that worked for the railroad. He was said to be an extremely jolly man that loved to laugh. Sadly they lost a son at age 19 that is buried near them James J Byrne. Mike loved his grandchildren and they him.God blessed them with this grand Irishman.
