Rosa was a devoted church worker and a licensed Evangelist in the Lancaster Deliverance Center. She was also a faithful attendee of the Greater Deliverance COGIC. She enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales and arts and crafts, especially jewelry making.
Surviving are seven children, Katie (Louis) Butcher, Paul (Judy), Cheneatia, Darryl, Arturo, Gregory Rogers and Robert C. (Heather) Thomas; 2 brothers, Terry and Tyrand (Sharon) Brown, fifteen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are a brother, Charles L. Rogers, and 3 sisters, Retha Mae Melvin, Elner J. Winder and Katherine Smith.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Bright Side Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will be held at Bright Side from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Roseboro Cemetery Snow Hill in North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rosa's memory to the Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, 900 S Arlington Ave #134a, Harrisburg, PA 17109 or to Mom's House of Lancaster, 415 S. Queen Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
