Ms. Loretta M. Stone, 67 of 369 Cedar Forest Road, Long Island, Virginia departed this life on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at her residence.

Born May 25, 1951 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Monroe and Lorina Graves Monroe.

Ms. Stone was a retired employee of BGF, Altavista, Virginia.

Those left to cherish her memories are her life partner, Jim Witcher of the residence; one daughter, Yolanda Stone of Long Island, Virginia; two sons, Quincy Stone (Serina) of Hurt, Virginia and Marcus Stone of Long Island, Virginia; seven sisters, Emma Miller of Gretna, Virginia, Betty Ann Sullivan of Columbia, South Carolina, Marie Pannell of Lynchburg, Virginia, Ann White (Larry) of Woodbridge, Virginia, Mary Tucker (Roy) of Long Island, Virginia, Elverleen Tardy (Richard) of Hurt, Virginia and Priscilla Monroe of Gretna, Virginia; one brother, Bernard Monroe of Gretna, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Marquez Barbour, Demarcus Hubbard, Tayshaun Butler, Rashaad Butler, Christian Goods, Laila Stone, Desarae Jefferson and Jordan Lee; two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life for Ms. Stone will be conducted on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Elder Charles H. Miller, Jr. Interment will follow in the First Church of Jesus Cemetery, Hurt, Virginia.
