Randall Eugene Jenkins, 55, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16th at 6:43 pm while at home in Grand Prairie, Texas. His passing came after an eight month struggle with a stage four glioblastoma brain tumor. Graveside services will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.

Randy was born January 2nd, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Ronald Manuel Jenkins and Mary Eloise (Barrett) Jenkins. Randy served faithfully alongside his parents throughout his youth. He graduated from high school in 1982 where he enjoyed playing football. He married Cherie Lynn Fafard on June 8th, 1985. Randy graduated from Baptist Bible College and later earned his Master’s degree in counseling from Liberty University. Randy served in Christian ministry for over 30 years, a number of those years as the founding and lead pastor of Family Fellowship Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. He was also the Vice President of the Creation Evidence Museum. While pastoring, he coached for a number of years for the DASCHE homeschool co-op. He later became involved in full-time education, teaching social studies and coaching for the last few years of his life at Newman International Academy in Cedar Hill, Texas. Randy served faithfully at Faith Bible Church by leading an adult Sunday school class and being a part of the worship team. Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, and anything involving the Dallas Cowboys.

Randy is survived by his wife, Cherie Lynn Jenkins of Grand Prairie; his five daughters, Lorissa Kearbey and husband Chad of Houston, Erica Cavanaugh and her husband Matt of Houston, Miranda Nelson and her husband Trey of Arlington, Andrea Jenkins of Grand Prairie, and Emma Jenkins of Grand Prairie; his seven grandchildren, Jack, Luke, Charlotte, Clara, Adalee, Oakland, and Quade; his mother, Mary Eloise Jenkins of Carrollton; his sister, Ronda Barney and her husband Chris of Carrolton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Jenkins.
