Dr. Charles A. Stewart, 84, for 35 years (1924-1949) mayor of the village of Rouses Point, died yesterday at Physicians Hospital.
He was born the son of Charles and Catherine (Cascaden) Stewart. He obtained a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery at Univ. of Buffalo and settled in Rouses Point in 1896, retiring in 1956.
Surviving are a son, Charles A. Stewart of Dannemora; a daughter, Mrs. Goerge A. Ambler of Langhorne, PA; a brother, Mackenzie B. Stewart of Mooers.
