Clarence Edward “Eddie” Cunningham, age 58 of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Eddie was born in Coffee County on July 20, 1960 to the late Charles Elbert and Edith Elinior (Holt) Cunningham. Before his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver for over thirty years and enjoyed the time spent with his work family at Cooper Steele in Shelbyville. First and foremost, Eddie loved his family. A member of Brownington Nazarene Church, he cherished spending time with his church family. Eddie was an avid Alabama Football fan and fishing enthusiast. His family will remember him as passionate and loving and an excellent husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Steve Roberts. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of seventeen years, Marta Cunningham; children, Tiffany (Jeff) Riddle of Tullahoma, Jonathan (Brittany) Cunningham of Tullahoma, Brady (Paige) Nuckols of Portland, Faith Nuckols of Portland, and Charlie Cunningham of Lynchburg; God-daughter, Erica (Jimbo) Riddle of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Peyton Riddle, Bryson Riddle, Hayden Cunningham, and Annistyn Cunningham; siblings, Debbie (Frankie) Rutledge of Lynchburg, Ricky (Lisa) Cunningham of Lynchburg, Tony (Brenda) Cunningham of Tullahoma, Becky (Chris) Byrom of Lynchburg, and Jackie (Jason) Byrom of Lynchburg; mother-in-law, Rita Roberts of Portland, sisters-in-law, Millisa (Timmy) Jenkins of Portland, and Monica Johnson of Portland; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 24, 2019 in the Chapel of Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Burial will follow in Beech Hill Cemetery.
