David J. Swift, "Swifty", 57, of Wrightsville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, while snowmobiling.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ronald Clyde Swift and the late Regina Fanelli Scheetz.

David worked as an articulating haul truck operator for County Line Quarry in Wrightsville for many years.

David was well known in the street hockey community.

He was a longtime goalie for the Clippers in Lancaster. He also played softball for many years.

An avid outdoorsman, David was happiest when he was spending time hunting, fishing, boating, camping and snowmobiling.

Many of these activities he enjoyed sharing with his son.

He also enjoyed spending time with his new granddaughter.

A dedicated Philadelphia sports fan, David enjoyed Eagles football, Flyers hockey and Phillies baseball.

A free spirit, David was always the life of the party and loved to have a good time.

He was a member of Susquehanna Fish and Game in Wrightsville.

A loving father and grandfather, David is survived by his daughter, her husband, and their daughter of Dallastown, and his son, of Lancaster. Also surviving is his sister, and her husband, and his brother, and his wife of Lancaster.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Ronald "Newpt" Swift.

A viewing will be held from 10 AM to 12 Noon, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12 Noon, on Tuesday, February 26th at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 North George Street, Millersville, PA.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
