After my Mother's mother (Maude Williams Gist) died, Mr. Dechman (we called him Dan Dan) and my Mother's aunt (Mae Belle Williams Dechman) raised my Mother until Mae Belle died in 1916, and then he continued raising the motherless children until they were grown. He was a delight and a wonderful man! He remarried later in life and I will try to find out where his second wife is buried and link them together.
