Cremation, with a visitation to be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler. Contributions are suggested to the Happy Hill Church Outreach. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com

The daughter of Roy and Helen Grimes, Connie was born, raised and lived most of her life in Bates County, with stops in Independence, Missouri and Grapevine, Texas. During various periods in her life, Connie enjoyed bowling, shopping with her sisters, playing cards on weekend visits to the country, watching Sci-Fi movies and TV shows, football and baseball, anything her grandchildren were involved in, and getting a Route 44 diet coke. Her happiest moments were spent with family, but she had a special way with all people and made friends everywhere she went.

Connie temporarily leaves behind three daughters Andrea Galloway and husband Lewis Dabbs, Dedra Russell, Megan Wilson and husband Mike, grandchildren Seth Carmichael and wife Amy, and Brenae, Abby and Katie Wilson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Rod Newland and Cheryl and Leon Cumpton; two sisters-in-law, Janice Hanson and Jeanne Galloway; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. We mourn; but also look forward to when we will see her again – healthy, happy and whole.
