Leon "Moon" Harris

Leon (Moon) Harris was born in DeLeon Springs, Florida on September 21, 1945 and departed this life on February 15, 2019. He was the son of Annie Mae Graham and the late Johnny Will Johnson. He attended Mallory Elementary School and went on to Euclid High School.

Leon moved from DeLeon Springs, Fl., at the young age of 16, to Catskill, New York where he worked in the Apple Industry. He later moved to Albany, N. Y., and worked in the manufacturing field.

While in Albany, Leon opened his own restaurant called “Moons”, and worked there for many years. He later fell ill and moved back home with his mother and sister Angelia Graham, who cared for him until God called him home.

Leon leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Annie Mae Graham, Sisters: Sylvia Johnson, Lamettar (Waymon) Lee, Jeanette (Roy) Johnson, Angelia Graham, Johnnie Mae Johnson. Brothers: Ernest (Jesse) Harris, Bishop Richard (Sandra) Graham, Lewis W. (Mahalia) Johnson, Bobby Will Barren; Brother-In-Law: Robert Walker, Aunts: Irene Gilmore, Mayetta Peacock, Inez Harris, Althea Harris, Emmie Anderson, Uncle: Wright (Yvonne) Harris, Jr., Stepdaughter: Candice Johnson.
