Dave, age 60, was the son of William Walter and Lois-Jo Ruth (Bartell) Cope. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1976. He was employed by the Wolfes Camera and Video in Topeka for 28 years. He married Karen Southall on June 13, 1987, in Topeka. Survivors include his wife, his children, Justin Cope and Kacie Cope, his grandson, Maxson Mandel, and his siblings, Rodney Cope and Cheryl Svetgoff. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steven Cope. Cremation has taken place. A memorial ceremony was held at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel in Topeka. Inurnment was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
