Weda Louise Sesler Frierson (86) was born July 31, 1932.

She was called Home to her Savior on February 19, 2019.

Weda was known as a beautiful lady both inside and out.  Married to Robert Charles Frierson in 1949, she began her early married life as a model first with The Mary Beth MacDonald School of Modeling and later with The Kay Corderman Agency in Houston, Texas.  She appeared in both local and national ad campaigns and epitomized the grace and elegance of the 1950s. After the arrival of her first two children, Weda gave up her modeling career to be at home with her family, eventually welcoming two additional daughters.

Weda was also a gifted pianist who brought smiles to countless audiences with her unforgettable musical flair. As her children grew, she became a beloved piano teacher who delighted in nurturing her students and showcasing them in her memorable recitals—a pursuit she thoroughly enjoyed. But when Weda saw her husband could use some help in his chiropractic practice, she wholeheartedly volunteered for the task, left teaching, and served alongside him as his office manager for many successful years.
Weda was not only a fashion model but also, more importantly, a model wife.

In her younger days, Weda loved to spend time camping in her little green motorhome, baking sweets, and even riding the Texas Cyclone at AstroWorld with her youngest daughters. In retirement, Weda enjoyed hearing about her grandchildren, reading non-fiction, and spending time with Robert and family at their lake house. She was a committed Fox News fan and always prepared for a lively political discussion. Throughout her life, Weda remained passionate about sharing her talent and serving the Lord through her music.  One of her greatest joys was playing for her church family at Country Bible Church in Brenham, TX.

Weda had a wonderful life, but her most enduring accomplishment was faithfully teaching her four children to put their trust in the Lord—a spiritual legacy which continues through her loving example in the lives of her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Weda’s family and friends were blessed to see the meaning of true beauty through her faith in Jesus Christ. And it is through faith in Him we are assured of a joyous reunion someday.

Weda was preceded in death by her parents Weda and Ray Sesler and brother Lawton Ray Sesler.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Robert C. Frierson, along with her daughters and their families:  Sherry Taylor, husband Joe, and their three adult children and two grandchildren; Cindy Minter and husband David; Robin Warner, husband Barry, and their three children; Lisa Smith, husband David and their two children.  Weda is also survived by her sister-in-law Edrie Sesler and nieces Nancy Warren and Elizabeth Sesler.

Remembrances in Weda’s honor may be directed to Country Bible Church in Brenham, TX.

Weda is in the care of Canon Funeral Home.

Weda lived to be 86 years, 6 months and 18 days old.
