Mrs. Julia “Judy” Bridges Lewis, age 75, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 24, 1943. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Evelyn Shaw Bridges, Jr.; her husband Hugh W. Lewis who passed away in June 2008. Mrs. Lewis was a longtime Kindergarten Teacher and active member of Berea Christian Church in Hampton.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Eve and Rod Pipkin; son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Debbie Lewis; grandchildren, Julia Anne Jones and husband, Micah, Carolyn Pipkin, Ryan King, Nicholas King; sister, Royce Gunnels; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Julia “Judy” Bridges Lewis will be Friday, February 22, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at Berea Christian Church in Hampton. Interment will follow in Berea Cemetery.
