Edna C. Anthon Barnes passed away February 20, 2019. She was born January 31, 1925 in American Fork to Donald Clarke Chipman and Golda Makin. She married Evans (Toby) Chipman Anthon in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 14, 1946. Toby passed away on April 18, 1973 after 26 years of marriage. On September 9, 1977 she married William K. Barnes in Elko, Nevada and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2011. Edna retired from the IRS in 1984 after 30 years.

Edna was preceded in death by two brothers; Lloyd W. Chipman, and Ervin Makin Chipman; and four sisters; Katie Bills, Naomi T. Parks, Donna C. Gardner, and Gwen C. Barker.

She is survived by her four children; Rodney C. Anthon, Greg C. (Sandy) Anthon, Kathy A. (Jeff) Gale, and Brad C. (Ann) Anthon; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Special thanks to Comfort Worx Hospice for all their compassion and care for Mom over this past year.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
