Louise M. Ward (nee Lemmermann) died on Thursday, December 13, 2018 surrounded by family in her home in Kohler. She was born on July 31, 1929 in Milwaukee, the first child of Lora C. (nee Faess) and Clarence A. Lemmermann.
She graduated Rufus King High School in 1947 and Marquette University with a Ph.B. in journalism in 1951. On September 1st of 1951 she married Oscar O. Ward of Milwaukee. They made their home in the Milwaukee area for 15 years before moving to Kohler in 1966.
She is survived by one daughter, Christine (Michael Dietrich) Ward Giordani of Stockton, CA and three sons, Michael (Kathryn Farinholt) of Baltimore, Jonathan of Washington, D.C., and David (John Bailey) of Seattle, and eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Lee Gumienny) Howell, Thomas (Luna) Howell, M. Benjamin (Samantha Winslow) Ward, Christopher Ward, Andrew (Madeleine Glennon) Ward, Sonja Giordani, Alexandra Giordani, and Celeste Giordani. Cousins, nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar, her beloved daughter Candace Ward Howell, the victim of an auto accident on June 6, 1997, her brothers Clarence Lemmermann and Richard Lemmermann and her parents.
