Larry Don Pope, 59, of Krum passed away on Tuesday February 19, 2019 in Denton. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Donald and Dorothy Pope on July 1, 1959. He is survived by his mother Dorothy Schluter, former wife Dorothy Burke, children Charles Adkins, John Burke and Donna Burke, grandchildren Carter Burke and Chance Burke, siblings Donald Pope and sister in law Sandy Pope, Karen Koiner and brother in law Lee (Bub) Koiner, Robin Kern and Robert Collier, nephews and nieces Michael, Adam, Mallori, Kaitlyn, Kaylee and Madilyn, great-nephews Braedon and Logan Koiner.
He spent most of his life as a roughneck roofer until deciding to leave that line of work and getting to spend more time with his family. His main interests and hobbies included the Dallas Cowboys and fishing with his children and friends. Despite his young death he lived a fun fulfilling life and fought all the way until the end. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle that will be greatly missed.
Larry is preceded in death by his father Donald Eugene Pope, aunt Judith Horn, uncle Bobby Pope and his grandparents Edwin and Hazel Pope
A Memorial service will be held Saturday from 2 to 4pm at DeBerry Funeral Home 2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201
