Gary E. Dunn, age 70 of Paris passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at his residence. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Corey Cain of Maplewood Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Friday until service time at McEvoy Funeral Home. His body will be cremated following the service and honorary pallbearers will be the deacons from Maplewood Baptist Church.
Gary E. Dunn was born April 15, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Eugene "Gene" Mack Dunn and the late Norma Warren Thompson. On March 19, 1971 he married Nancy Adams Dunn and she survives in Paris, TN. Mr. Dunn is also survived by a daughter, Wendy (Mark) Bass of Paris, TN; a son, Greg (Theresa) Dunn of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren: Norah Bass, Mollie Bass, Savannah Dunn, and Garrett Dunn; one sister, Carol Walker of Lansing, MI; one brother, Randall Dunn of Florida; one sister-in-law, Barbara Dunn of Newark, DE; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mr. Dunn was also preceded in death by his twin brother Barry Dunn.
Gary E. Dunn was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church where he served as deacon and treasurer. He was a member of Gideon's International and he was a University of Tennessee Alumnus and Fan. He was a chemical engineer for Dana Corporation/Plumley Companies for 38 years.
