Mr. Bryan Lee Barnett, age 53, of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, after a battle with cancer.

Bryan was born on September 6, 1965, in Webb City, Missouri, to the union of Edwin "Barney" Barnett and Mary Esther (Irwin) Barnett.

He was a 1984 graduate of Carl Junction High School. On August 17, 1991, Bryan was united in marriage to Ginger Williams and to this union two daughters were born. He was a lifelong resident of Carl Junction and attended the Nazarene Church. Bryan worked with his father as a partner with Barnett Construction Company for several years and he was most recently an Operations Manager for Jasper County Rural Water District #1. He was also a volunteer for Carl Junction Fire Department. Bryan enjoyed riding motorcycles and coaching softball for his daughters. He was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leroy and Lucy Barnett; maternal grandparents, Harold and Edna Irwin, and his sister, Melissa Sue Barnett.

Survivors include his parents, Barney and Mary Barnett, of Carl Junction; two daughters, Karley Barnett and Kendra Walker (Matt), and their mother, Ginger, all of Carl Junction; two grandchildren, Lucy Mae Walker and Luke Hudson Walker; and his friend, Lexi Mercer.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019, at Christ's Church of Oronogo. Officiating will be Pastor Kelly Ross and David Hardesty.

Burial will follow at Edgmand Cemetery in Columbus, Kansas. Those honoring Bryan's life by serving as pallbearers are Travis McCorkle, Mark Degraff, Roy Irwin, Jay Morton, David Chaligoj and Mike Tracy with Steve Drake serving as an honorary pallbearer.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City, Missouri.
