Mr. Kimberly Alvin “Kim” Key, age 61 of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 19, 2019. He was born December 22, 1957 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the Bettye Taylor Key and the late Milton Z. Key. He was retired from Pilgrim’s Pride with over ten years of service. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Borneman Key; children: Victor (Jennifer) Key of Carrollton, Steve (Amanda) Rooks of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Buddy Rooks of Carrollton; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ron Siger and Rev. David Huckeba officiating. In keeping with his wishes, the body will be cremated following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
