Sheila was born in March 6, 1954 in Rochester to James and Eva (Lind) Bennett. She graduated from John Marshall in 1972. Following high school, she graduated from the University of Minnesota.
Sheila worked in real-estate for many years. She was also a manager and secretary for Grandview Memorial Gardens.
She was past member and officer for the Elk’s Club.
She also was active in working with local Law Enforcement, specifically with the National Night Out program for many years.
Sheila loved canning and freezing fruits and vegetables from Denny Kyllo’s garden. She was also a “hockey mom” from many years for Blair.
Sheila is survived by her son, Blair Bennett of Fargo, ND; her significant other for over 12 years, Jim Cash; two brothers, James L. Bennett of Hayfield, Minnesota and Randy L. Bennett of Phoenix, Arizona; stepmother; Elaine Bennett of Mason City, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two half-sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Charles Leonard officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
