Jennie Poston Thompson, 71, wife of Sam Joe Thompson, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 18, 2019.

Jennie was born on January 1, 1948, in Florence, SC and lived in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of Ella Kay Poston Poston and the late Reo Brunson Poston. She was a life long member of Union United Methodist Church and graduated from Hemingway High School Class of 1966. She cherished her primary role as homemaker and caregiver to her family. She was a true southern lady, who could cook an amazing meal and spend hours with her hands in the field, garden, or flower bed. She enjoyed many years at Allison Billiards in Hemingway. She also enjoyed collecting rocks, but mostly she loved the little things in life. Her favorite thing was showing her love. She did, she let her light shine on everyone around her.

She was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Lee Poston, Sr.; and her great niece Anna Grace Cook.
