Janis Marie Harris, 66, of Danville, died on February 18, 2019, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Janis was born on December 28, 1952, daughter of James Thomas Harris, who survives and the late Ruth Sawyers Harris. Janis worked as a teacher for Sacred Heart Catholic School and Caswell County School System. She was a member of First Independent Methodist Church. Survivors also include a sister, Brenda Carter; a brother, Ricky Harris. Burial will be at Danville Memorial Gardens.
