Georgia Rebecca “Becky” Stone Armstrong, lifelong resident of Catlettsburg, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at her home.
Mrs. Armstrong was born in Catlettsburg to the late Robert P. and Gussie Davis Stone. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lawrence B. Armstrong.
Becky was a graduate of Thomas R. Brown High School and Valedictorian of her class. She had been employed by Ashland Oil, Inc, Catlettsburg and Boyd County Schools, was Boyd County Property Valuation Administrator, and a member of Kenova United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, James Armstrong (Janet) of Pittsburgh, PA, Robert Armstrong (Robin) of Ashland, and Allison Burch of Hamilton, OH, four grandchildren, Robert Armstrong, Jr (Kelly), Ryan Armstrong, Drew Burch, Lawren Rebecca Burch, and two great grandchildren, Lexi and Madison.
Private services were Sunday, February 17, 2019. Bro. Dean Akers officiated. Final resting place in Catlettsburg Cemetery.
