Frances was born to Mark H. and Ella (Sewell) Wilson on November 1, 1922 in Gordon, Texas. She was reared on a dairy farm north of Mineral Wells operated by by her parents and ten siblings.

She married Ray W. Davis on November 14, 1946, and they made their home in Odessa, Texas until moving to Dallas in 2011 to be closer to their children.
Ray preceded her death in 2016.

Ray and Frances were life long members of Northside Baptist Church in Odessa where they were active members. Frances was very involved in her children's education by participating in PTA and Band Boosters. She dearly loved her family and looked forward to the yearly Wilson Reunion.

She was an excellent seamstress and made beautiful clothes for family and friends. Her hobbies were collecting thimbles and rocks from various places she and Ray traveled over the years. She also enjoyed painting rocks.

Frances is survived by son, David R. Davis and wife, Linda A. of Kemp, Texas, daughter, Linda J. Davis of Dallas, grandson, Michael P. Davis of Kemp, sister, Ella Mae Folk of Mineral Wells and brother, Roy W. Wilson and wife, Betty of The Villages, Florida, stepsister, Imogene Cooke of Fort Worth. Eight brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
