Daryl Bernard Williams was born on December 31, 1962 to Obie Smith and Clara Williams in Houston, TX. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Lillian Dacus and AJ Riley in Jasper, TX.

In his early years, Daryl enlisted in the US Army at 18 years of age and served for two years active duty and two years in the Army Reserves. While serving in the Army Reserves, Daryl attended school for Mechanics Aviation and this where he found his passion. He worked at several aviation companies after he graduated and eventually settled at United Airlines in 1999.

In 1982, Daryl met Roberta Wells in Waco, TX and they married in 1986. To this union, Kalisha Williams was born in 1986, and Daryl became a stepfather to Schmeka Beck (1975). Daryl later moved to Houston, TX and, in 1989, met Stephanie Comeaux. They married in 1996, and to this union, Jason Williams (1994) and Claire Williams (2001) were born. Daryl also assumed the fatherhood role to Natashia Comeaux (1986). In 2006, Daryl settled in Humble, TX where he continued to earn his 20 years of service with United Airlines.

Daryl enjoyed grilling, listening to blues and jazz, and laughing with friends and family. He was always ready for a good card game and dominoes. He was a football fanatic, which was rivaled only by the sport of golf! A trip to the casino or the golf course were some of his favorite past-times. He was a dedicated worker and took pride in his job; sometimes his work was his second home. Daryl also loved traveling domestic and abroad! Daryl was a supportive father and stepfather and enjoyed attending his children’s birthday parties, celebrations, and functions. Daryl was always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need. Daryl was loved by his family, co-workers, and friends, and he will forever live in our hearts.

Daryl was proceeded in death by his mother, Clara Williams of Houston, TX; father, Obie Smith of Houston, TX; brother, Darwin Williams of Houston, TX; and uncles: Freddie Dacus of Jasper, TX and Earnest Dacus (Carlos) of Houston, TX. Daryl leaves to mourn his children, Nia Nakaza (grand-daughter), Hazel Houston (aunt), Donald Ray (uncle), Carlos Williams (brother), Regina Renfro-Simmons Holmes (step-sister), Jonathan Smith (half-brother), Christopher Smith (half-brother), LaKeisha Smith (half-sister), Demetria Craft (half-sister), Christian Smith (half-brother), Frederick Sanders (half-brother), and a host of other siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
