Randy first taught and coached at Spoon River Valley High School. Then continued his career with Peoria Public Schools over an 11-year span, which includes teaching and coaching at Kingman Grade School and Manual High School, joining administration at Sterling Grade School and then the Alternative High School, Principal at his alma mater, Calvin Coolidge, then becoming Principal at Peoria High School, leaving the position to allow the school to further progress. He moved to Principal of Von Steuben, and was hired onto Peoria Notre Dame as Assistant Principal in 2013 and stepped into the Principal's position in 2014.
