Frances Vines Grant Woods

Funeral services for Frances Woods, 96, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, 23, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Henry Martin officiating. A private burial service will follow.

Frances was born November 27, 1922 in Patmos, AR and went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2019. She worked at Goodwill Industries for almost 30 years before retiring. She was an example for all. She showed us all how to live and overcome any obstacle.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Otha and Gertrude Vines; husband, Everette Woods; and previous husband, Leonard Grant, Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alice M. Jean; son, Leonard Grant, Jr. and wife Jan; and their children and grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Randall McCann, Jr., Chuck Grant, David Jean, and Wes Tompkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at Heritage Manor Stratmore and Dr. Hernandez. The family would also like to extend their appreciation to Rev. Henry Martin and his staff.
