Ms. Brenda Joyce Wade Long, age 69, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her home following an illness. Ms. Long was born on October 29, 1949 in Loris, SC, to the late Willie “Bill” James Wade and the late, Rosa Evelyn McCormick Wade. Ms. Long was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

Survivors include her two daughters, Stephanie Wade Martin and Tracy Wade Gause and husband, Chris all of Loris, SC; two grandchildren, Kayla Martin of Missouri and Justin Martin of Conway, SC; one brother, Roger Wade and wife, Lynn of Longs, SC and her many beloved pets she considered her extended family.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Long was predeceased by her two brothers, Willie James Wade, Jr. and Windell Wade and her sister, Pearl Barnhill.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you to Ms. Lavada Harris for her love and compassionate care over the past twenty-four years.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 6 until 8 PM at Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mack Hutson and Elder George Paul officiating. Committal services will follow at Hardee Cemetery.
