Elizabeth was the d/o Nathaniel and Rhoda Powell and the sister of Henry. Her first husband, Isham Handy drowned shortly after their wedding. She next married Jeremiah Turner Reeves on 11-9-1820 in White Co., TN. Thirty years later, she joined him on the wagon train he led to AR.
The mother of Lucinda, Mary, Salena, Sabrina and Laten, she was a midwife. She couldn't read or write.
Elizabeth was ill with a fracture some 3 months before she died and that may have contributed to her death.
