A resident of Kentucky for most of his life, he moved to Brown County in 1972. He was a retired factory employee.
Branham was born in Adair County, Kentucky, on December 7, to Evan and Enner Branham.
In 1918 he was married to the former Lillie Graham, who died on February 3, 1966.
He was a member of the Church of Christ at Unionville.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Mary Ruth McDonald of Indianapolis and Shirley Conkright of Crawfordsville; five sons, Kenneth C. Branham of Route 2 Morgantown, Delbert P. Branham of Crawfordsville, George L. Branham of Lafayette, and James R. and Earl L. Branham, both of Indianapolis; a brother, Walter Branham of Breeding, Kentucky; and a half-brother, James Wisdom, also of Breeding, Kentucky. Branham is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
