Mr. Michael “Mickey” Weir Shore, 67, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Shore was born August 1, 1951 in Henry Co. VA. His parents were the late Rev. James Clarence “JC” and Helena Weir Shore. He was a member of Eatons Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge #162, and retired from NCDOT. Mr. Shore enjoyed fishing, camping, shooting, and hunting, but most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren.

Mr. Shore is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Keretha Cheek Shore; one daughter, Nikki (Michael) Long; two grandchildren, Kolby & Kennedy Long; three sisters, Jeannine (Steve) Lundy, Clare Shore, and Jo (Ronnie) Mundy; and nieces and nephews, Marnie Matthews, Grant Steelman, Jason Cheek, Jaci Fendley, Will Holt, and Katie Bryan.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Eatons Baptist Church, 430 Eatons Church Rd Mocksville, NC 27028, with Dr. David Gilbreath officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to P4:13 Baseball Ministry 115 Fox Run Drive Mocksville, NC 27028.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Davie County EMS and the staff of 4th and 7th floors at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for the wonderful care given to Mr. Shore.
