Mabel L. Beckett, age 86, of Bourbon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

Mabel Louise was born on April 10, 1932 in Scotia, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Tennie Ennis. She grew up and attended school in Scotia. Mabel was united in marriage to Adolph Beckett on August 10, 1951, and to this union, three children were born, Tom, Joe, and Lisa. They moved to Bourbon, where they began to raise their family. Mabel worked at Paramount Apparel for many years. Her husband, Adolph, preceded her in death in 1988. Mabel retired from Paramount in 1994. She loved raising and breeding various dogs for Grammy B’s Kennel. Mabel also raised chickens and peacocks and loved her flowers, she was especially fond of her roses.

Mabel is survived by two children, Lisa Paulette and husband, Kenny, of St. James, MO, and Joe Beckett and wife, Theresa, of Bourbon, MO; daughter-in-law, Linda Beckett of Bourbon, MO; one sister, Ruth Woods of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren, Bradlee Beckett and wife, Michelle, of Sullivan, MO, Jessica Payne of Sullivan, MO, Brooke Beckett of Bourbon, MO, Jamie Poole and husband, Matt, of Bourbon, MO, Heather Obremski and husband, Mike, of Bourbon, MO, Nicole Woods of Bourbon, MO, Jennifer Fadler and husband, Travis, of Sullivan, MO, and Robbie Massie and wife, Stephanie, of Bourbon, MO; twenty great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Beckett; a son, Tom Beckett; her parents, Earl and Tennie Marie (King) Ennis; and two sisters, Edna Downing & Eileen Bryan.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Full Gospel Assembly of God in Sullivan, with Pastor Ryan Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Bourbon Cemetery.
