Zwolle, LA- Roger Lynn Patrick was born in Many, Louisiana to Elouise Babin and Homer Franklin on November 27, 1949 and entered into rest on February 15, 2019.

He was a member of Noble Baptist Church. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1970 to 1976. After serving in the Army, he began a lifelong career in the timber industry. He became a hardworking and well-respected hauling contractor. Roger was known to many as “Roger Dodger” and enjoyed communicating daily with his fellow co-workers. He definitely loved hunting and fishing, but above all his love for his family was even greater.

Preceding Roger in death were his parents; his grandmother, Lillie Brook; and his uncle, Sidney Campbell.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Joyce Faircloth Patrick of Zwolle; his daughter, Joy Sepulvado and husband Ronnie; Bridget Patrick and special friend Keithen; Rene Ezernack and special friend Joe, all of Zwolle. In addition, Mr. Patrick is survived by his sisters, Pat Mercer, Sheila Creel, and Carolyn Prickett, all of Texas. He had 7 grandchildren; Dewayne, Lance, Nick, Skye, Savannah, Lexi, and Riana. He was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren; Khloe, Ethan, Bentley, Carson, and Kadyn.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Felix Valderez Jr., Jamie Valderez, Jordan Ezernack, Lex Rivers, Joey Williams, and Colby Malmay. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Martinez, Ricky Arthur, and Bill Kotterman.
