Don Howard Whitten, 79, passed away on February 17, 2019. Burial will be at Dresden Cemetery.

He was born in Navarro County, Texas, on October 11, 1939, to the late Warren Howard and Alyne Johnson Whitten. He worked for Chattanooga Glass and then became the manager of Tejas Warehouse. His love for the outdoors, and his cattle was his life. He was a member of the Navarro Mills Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis; sister and niece, Frances and Judy Ward; nephew, Kelly Russell; and Godson, Stan Horton.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jean; son, Douglas and his fiancée, DiAnna; daughter-in-law, Anita Whitten; grandchildren: Kelsey, Ethan, and Rebekah; nieces and nephews Jayme and Jimmy Putman, Kathy and Mike Reppart, Teresa Russell, and Renda, and Alan Schuelke, Janith, and Dale McManus, Sayla, and Gary Hintze; sister-in-law, Peggy Russell; Godson, Bill "Butch" Horton; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
