Born February 23, 1926, in Ida, Michigan, Gin was the daughter of the late William and Amanda (Schmidt) Schultz. She was a 1944 graduate of Monroe High School.
On July 13, 1946, Gin married her beloved husband, Irving F. "Bud" Kinsey at Zion Lutheran Church. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 26, 1987, after 41 years of marriage.
Gin was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was baptized, confirmed and enjoyed the women's Bible study group. She enjoyed all types of activities during her time at the Lutheran Home. In her younger years she worked at Monroe Bank and Trust.
Gin was a wonderful homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Gin is survived by two loving children; Jeffrey (Yvonne "Geri") Kinsey and Sharon (Frank) Lambert both of Monroe, five cherished grandchildren; Tauna (Brad) Byrd, Michele (Kristen) Gillsey, Paul (Jill) Kinsey, Mark (Sarah) Lambert and Kelly Lambert, and 12 treasured great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gin was preceded in death by two sisters; Florence Hagen and Fran Grady.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, 48161. On Wednesday, February 20, 2019 she will lie in state at Zion Lutheran Church until funeral services celebrating her life. Pastor's Ross Ulrich and Daniel Slaughter will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
